Bringing people into gardens

Davis_2The Garden Conservancy's final open garden day for 2007 are Saturday, September 8.

There will be two private homes in Nutley and one in Short Hills open to the public.

Open public gardens include: Davis Johnson Park and Gardens, Tenafly (pictured); James Rose Center, Ridgewood; Laurelwood Arboretum, Wayne; New Jersey Botanical Garden, Ringwood; Van Vleck House & Gardens, Montclair; The Presby Memorial Iris Garden, Montclair; Oakeside-Bloomfield Cultural Center, Bloomfield; Durand-Hedden House & Garden, Maplewood; Greenwood Gardens, Short Hills; Acorn Hall, Morristown; Delbarton-St. Mary's Abbey School, Morristown; Frelinghuysen Arboretum, Morris Township; Reeves-Reed Arboretum, Summit; and The Emilie K. Hammond Wildflower Trail, Boonton.

The Garden Conservancy is a national nonprofit organization founded in 1989 to preserve exceptional American gardens for public education and enjoyment.
