Sticky green thumbs

HobokenAn article in a recent Jersey Journal reports that Hoboken police are on the look out for a woman who removed a number of items last week from a city garden.

A city resident contacted police saying that a woman removed three statues, 10 garden decorations and three plants from her Bloomfield Street home -- AFTER telling the homeowner that she admired her garden.

Earlier this year, I had a posted an entry at this blog regarding the pilfering of some pansies I had in a frontyard whiskey barrel. I had asked whether anyone else had experienced someone stealing or vandalizing their plants. I got little response.

Well, I am sorry to say ... it appears ... I am not alone. Keep a close eye on your gardens ... especially if someone compliments you on them!! :)
