Bergen Devils Fan

Asham is a good player, he is a good addition to the Devils.

This seems to push Clarkson off the roster. Why sign Asham when Clarkson can provide a little more offense, as well as get into fights and play in front of the net on the PP ? I don't really understand this move. With Brylin on the checking line with Pando and Madden, the 4th line appears to be Rupp, Pelley, Asham.

Arron Asham played for Red Dear Rebels of the WHL where Devils new coach Brent Sutter was before joing NJ.

Looks like Sutter will make small recommendations to Lou along the way which makes sense since we was also Red Dear's GM.

well, devs are definitely not gonna get pushed around as much this season as last. i agree though with one the above posters, i would like to see clarkson playing 80 games a season, i like the energy he brings to the squad...him, rupp, asham....be one bully of a line....crash line like?

jule

Clarkson will make the team. He really impressed when he was up with the big club, but he’s still a rookie while Asham is a young veteran who could play on the forth or third line. We could really roll four lines next season. I’m very, very pleased with this signing. Lou always gets it done. Now just sign Paul-Mart!
