Unlike most of the rest of the teams in the NHL, the Devils will not hold a press conference to show off their new Rbk Edge jerseys before the opening of training camp. All teams in the league will switch to the lighter, form-fitting uniforms (which also includes new, lighter socks) and some teams have taken this opportunity to make some cosmetic alterations, too, but Devils general manager Lou Lamoriello said that his team's jerseys will look essentially the same.
"Our jersey will still be our jersey," he said.
Fans can get their first look at them when the Devils play their first preseason game on Sept. 17 in Trenton against Philadelphia.
awesome! our jerseys were already great. I'm glad that lou isn't going to change them.

No Suprise for the NJ Lamoriello's. Nothing will ever be done to reach out to the fans or create any interest. The Devils have the worst PR in Sports. No celebrations of players, no fan outreach. When the Devils win it's the genius of Lou, Well the genius of Lou moved the team to the murder capital of NJ and will eventually get this team sold.

@Jeff: What? Lou wasn't even GM when John McMullen moved the team to NJ. Nice try though.
Stop whining. The Devils are winners, the arena will be awesome, and Newark has less crime than Atlanta, Detroit and other NHL cities.

Devils are taking pre-orders now for their new RBK jerseys. No picture of the jersey yet.

Switching jersey designs every few years, to me, is bush league. I'm glad the Devils have stuck with the same look all these years. For a team that's only been around 25 years, it's shows a great respect for tradition.
And then there's the Rangers, who stick with the classic look but come out with a "third jersey" just to suck more money out of their fans. (By the way, the Statue of Liberty is in New Jersey.)
