In case you didn't see it on the Devils' Web site (newjerseydevils.com), FSNY will commemorate Scott Stevens' induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame on Monday with a tribute to Stevens leading up to telecasting Thursday's game against Philadelphia. They will be airing "classic contests", beginning at noon with Stevens' first game as a Devil vs. St. Louis on Oct. 5, 1991. That will be followed by Game 2 of the 1995 Eastern Conference semifinals against Pittsburgh at 2 p.m, Game 7 of the 2000 conference finals at Philadelphia (the Eric Lindros knockout game) at 4 p.m., and the Stevens' banner raising Ceremony from Feb. 3, 2006 at 6 p.m.
OMG! Will it be in HD?!?!

Two things that need to happen:
1.) Message board/forum to continue discussions and reply to threads more easily, and
2.) a "Fire and Ice Blog Ice Cream Social".

Game 4 against Tampa in 2003 would be a fitting game to play. When Scott scored the game winning goal after being hit in the head with the puck the game before. I'm still convinced that was the play that ended his career.

Tom,
Any word on whether the ceremony itself will be broadcast here in the states.

I haven't heard if it will be broadcast in the U.S. I know TSN will broadcast it in Canada. I don't remember past ceremonies being on in the U.S., but I'll see what I can find out.

VERSUS has a game on at 7:30, that seems the only logical place.

Maxwell, I don't think it's necessary to get a forum on here (after all its meant to just be a blog, not a fan site), although a wider page format wouldn't hurt -- maybe one like they use for the RU blog (http://njmg.typepad.com/rublog/) which gives a little more horizontal room for posts and comments.

I'm not in control of the format for the posts or the page design. I'll have to ask someone about making that change.

I find it kind of ironic that they are airing that game where Lindros gets flattened on the day that Lindros is going to announce his retirement.

I just checked my guide on TV for Monday - looks like the NHL Network is covering the Hall of Fame induction ceremony, not Versus.
I also heard Stevens talking on XM Home Ice the other day - mentioned his speech would be short, only about 4 minutes or so.

It's times like this i'd trade Center Ice for FSNY in a heartbeat!
But i'm going to the Induction Ceremony, so i guess that's a fair trade.

Yaron, I'll have to check that out. It was just a suggestion; message boards are pretty easy to set up from a web-hosting and design standpoint. We set one up in our Ms. Pac-Man site (www.pactionary.com) which our designer did for free.
Also, tonight's Devs/Flyers game is humungous. I actually bought 2 $20 tix so my wife and I will be in the house (our first "Rocking Out" {trademark}).
I'm hoping we can bring some luck to this team which needs to turn around big-time.

The Induction Ceremony will be carried on the NHLnetwork from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Monday. It's channel 401 on Cablevision. I don't know what channel it is on other cable carriers.
