Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur was named the NHL's second star for the weeking ending Dec. 2 today after going 3-0 with a 1.30 goals-against average and .945 save percentage. Brodeur posted his 94rh career shutout in Friday's 4-0 win over Montreal, tying him with George Hainsworth for second place on the NHL's all-time list.
Vancouver goaltender Roberto Luongo was named the first star for going 2-1 with two shutouts, a 0.67 goals-against average and .976 save percentage. Minnesota goaltender Niklas Backstrom earned the third star for going 3-0 with a 1.32 goals-against average and .969 save percentage and helping the Wild take over first place in the Northwest Division.
Good for Marty, he's kept us in a few during the streak.
Luongo was unbelievable this week. 198ish minutes without giving up a goal. His numbers are just out of this world.

I seriously want to see Luongo play with normal sized pads. It would settle once and for all whether those giant sized pads are whats boosting his numbers.

Maybe, but they're legal. There's no way we can deny Luongo's abilities. He's one heck of a goaltender.
