ZzZzZzZzZ. Lets get someone who we can use NOW.

i really like our scouting team look at the amazing talent they scouted, its just a shame we lost alot the players we had in the past to other teams. They wouldnt sign someone if he didnt look like had a good chance

TG, is Snetsinger allowed to play on the Devils this season? I would like to see what he can bring to this team.

This is pretty exciting news. We are in need of left wings, Pando is the only career left wing.

His numbers are improving a ton every year but I can't get too excited since he is much older than his competition. Hopefully he gets to Lowell this year and plays well. What is the scouting report on this guy? I couldn't find anything on hockeys future or their forums.

I believe he has to finish out the junior season (until his team's season is over) before he's eligible to play for Lowell or New Jersey (unless the rule is different because he's an overage). I doubt he'll play in New Jersey this season, though.

I like the first comment. These kind of signings only make big news in NJ!

good to know. hopefully next year will hear his name even more

Way to go. At this rate the Devils will be the best team in the AHL. Too bad they play in the NHL.

Hey TG, you think you can try and investigate this trade that Lou tried to preform two days ago?

I second that. It would be very interesting to know if this trade is still a possibility or if it dissipated.

The Devils have a pretty good track record with undrafted FA. Nothing wrong with being a little excited about this signing. Surprised that there aren't more people who follow juniors.

I really agree we need the help now and while future prospects are great when your team gets shutout 7 times and it still December something needs to be done NOW!!!

Bergfors contract runs out now.

TG,
Speaking of prospects, the defenseman Nicolas Sigouin from the QMJHL that was at the Devils training camp, is he Devils property? or was he just a camp invite and subsequently a free agent when he went back to juniors? Thank you.

This is a good move, but a much more serious issue is our lack of a star defensemen. I like White, Greene and Martin, but we have some serious issues: Vish stinks, Oduya is awful, Brookbank is inexperienced, and Rachunek makes me wanna puke.

Are there any pending trades for a defensemen who is any good without it breaking our bank. I think there is a market for Karel - he's just not good for the Devs. He also just doesn't have an accurate enough slap-shot to be effective from the point.

I've said this before, but I really like Joe Corvo. I thought he was a free agent, but OTT may have re-signed him. He's also a big name which means a big salary, but someone with that style of play and toughness, who also has some offense in him. Also a guy like Rozsival would be good (don't know his contract status either).

I'm just throwing all of this out there. Our defense is bad, and our offense suffers because of it.

Corvo will be a UFA in '10-'11 and Rozsival will be a UFA after this season

We should get Rozsival on the basis that Gay-mez went to the Rangers.

No posts for a couple of days.....hmmmmm???

And no article on the Record...TG, where are you?

Max 4 posts before me...oh my God, someone out there is seeing what I am seeing!!! We must fix our defense before adding to offense.

The Devs won 3 cups with 2 Scotts and Raf, and Lou has done nothing to replicate this past advantage. Your assessments of our players are spot on, although Rachunek is OK. But we have no top-pairing defensemen. McCabe and Redden are available!!!!...We need to get one of these guys, we should ask about Bouwmeester, etc. Seize any opportunity to get a top d-man and trade anyone on the roster save for Marty and Zach to get him/them. REBUILD FROM THE PIPES !!!! Good job Max.

after reading the above posts i too am starting to think we need to get a LEGITAMATE top 2 defender...who? i don't know, but be need someone who can both shut down the opposing stars and then rush up the ice and create some offense/shoot&score...however, i would like to say paul martin has continued to develop very, very nicely, he has had some nice end to enders...and of course once we are done finding that defenseman lou needs to then get us a LEGITAMATE playmaking/scoring number 1 center (patrick marluea anyone) who can maybe help elias realize its ok to put in a 100% effort more than once every 5 games (though he scored/assisted tonight)

I feel like a drug addict needing a fix---where the hell are you TG?
Hope your enjoying some well deserved time off for the holidays and that all is well. All the best to you and your family.

Boyle is also available

Thanks for your posts of agreement dannyd, max and pat!...Marleau, Cheecho, Hossa are available for offense after we land a top-pairing d-man (altho i subit we get a second good d-man after landing Redden or McCabe)...

I will even go a step further...Lou should step aside:
(1) his UFA signings (and non-signings) have been atrocious
(2) we remain way too close to the cap top yet have only an average team
(3) he is stubbornly loyal to Elias, White and Gio, all of whom would fetch decent quality players back
(4) the farm is absolutely barren

Lou should either wake up and adjust, or step down and let a younger mind take the reigns. He has been so outmaneuvered in the last several years and nobody is saying anything about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
