Well, Jamie Langenbrunner is wearing the "C" in warm-ups, so it's official. Paul Martin and John Madden are now wearing the "A's".

Wow, Martin and Madden... Interesting, I don't know what to say. Sutter does what Sutter wants, no fear. I love it.

Elias is still one of my favorite players on this team and I believe he can be a leader, too. Hopefully by year's end he will earn that A back.

Paul Martin???
Eh, hope he steps up his game

I wonder if they're going to rotate the A's home and away like they did last year. Time and the post game interview will tell!

TG- Totally off topic, but I tried emailing you tonight and I got three bounce backs. I remember reading someone else had a problem emailing you and I found the post. The reason is when you click on the link it emails "guilitti@northjersey.com" instead of "gulitti@northjersey.com". The link is incorrect. (I'm the one who just emailed you about Rass)
If you fix the link then we'll all be able to email you without any returns.
Thanks for everything!

I think Ras' tryout contract just expired. He couldn't stay there on a tryout forever. I'll see what else I can find out, though.

I was actually wondering about Rass Myself, any info would be much appreciated, TG, do You know if The Dev's are going to put out a Stevens DVD with the retirenment player interview show, that was shown on Fox sports before the ceremony and His Jersey ceremony, Hall of fame induction etc? that would make a nice addition to The Hockey DVD collection.

Thanks. I am pretty sure they sent him packing since he was -6 in 5 games. I hope he can get it going somewhere because it would be a shame if he had to hang them up. He always gave his all when he was with us, and I continue to where his #10 to the games. But thanks again, you're the best!

Very nice comeback indeed. Elias coming through like he is paid to do. Parise had a great game too. I do wonder if Taylor stayed in if this would have been a different outcome. But two points is two points!

Wow...what a game tonight. Elias sure looked like he responded well to not getting a letter. The Parise-Elias-Gionta line was on fire tonight.

Great game! I'm glad that Elias got the winner. The whole team rallied and showed how great we can be! GO DEVILS!

Great game tonight, I am extremely disappointed in devil fans. You would think a team winning seven straight, a new building and a $10 dollar ticket offer would entice fans to show up. I understand ticket prices are expensive but at $10 where is the excuse?
Posted by: joe | December 05, 2007 at 11:40 PM
I thought the 10 dollar (actually 11) ticket offer was for Friday?
But you're right, the crowd was disappointing in size though not in spirit. As the tide turned, you could sense the energy in the building rising rapidly.

PhantomNJ,
I think joe meant that every home game, there is a set of $10 tickets available for walk up buyers. I believe it's 2 per person limit. Anyway, the Devils have got to do a better job of advertising these things. I know it's not the team's policy to be flamboyant, but just a little bit more FYI'ing of fans would be nice.

Most games I go to Devils fans barely stand up to cheer but tonight for the first time since maybe a playoff game, fans were consistently standing to see Devil rushes down the other end of the ice. Maybe its the excitement that was present when Elias and Parise were on the ice tonight but there was definitely more anticipation than normal from the fans. Elias made an absolute world class play along the boards to set up Parise, I hope he keeps up what he did tonight and I won't miss Gomez at all.

No, the devils website had 10 dollar seats in advance for tonights game.
Posted by: joe | December 06, 2007 at 12:45 AM
How many people knew there was a $10 ticket offer?
Wasn't like they put it in the paper or on TV.
They probably sold 500 tickets on the basis of that. This game would have been 10K at CAA.
The $10 tickets was viral marketing. No way for the word the spread on time.
The discount offers for the balcony seats have worked because the viral marketing had time.
But if you're going to do something with 1 days' notice and not advertise, it ain't gonna work.
Not to mention most of the seats that go empty ($100/95) weren't going to be given away for $10, so that's moot.
