Bergfors sent down to Lowell
Rookie right wing Nicklas Bergfors was sent back down to Lowell before tonight's game against the Islanders.
Bergfors had one goal and no assists in eight games with the Devils.
I'm not sure of the reasoning behind this, but I guess it means that Petr Vrana will play tonight if John Madden is unable to.
Bergfors participated in the optional morning skate here today. There is no word whether he will play in Lowell's game tonight in Hartford.
bert boggles the mind.

I think this was probably the right move for him at this time. It would be better for him to take what he has learn up here from the coaches, practice, and game-time and apply it to more minutes in lowell in scoring situations. He was bound to go down again soon as players return from injury, and he'll have another call up with the big club sometime in the future I'm sure.

I always thought Bergfors looked decent in the little ice time he got. What 2600 said makes sense though.

I actually thought he never looked comfortable or that good when he played. Granted he was only playing a few min a game so its hard to get into a groove, but I wasn't impressed. He should go back down, get some quality ice time, build up his confidence and get his game back. Maybe later in the year when he's really playing well he'll come up and make an impact, but I'm not impressed with what I've seen, especially if he and Vrana are supposed to be the better of the guys in Lowell. That kinda scares me.
