The Devils activated defenseman Andy Greene from injured reserved this morning, but won't play tonight against the Maple Leafs at Air Canada Centre.
Greene has been out since Oct. 29 with a broken right hand.
I just arrived in Toronto, so I didn't get over to the morning skate today. Only the scratches were expected to skate.
Devils coach Brent Sutter won't be speaking to the media until late this afternoon prior to the game.
Rich Chere was at the skate and is reporting that it will be Clemmer tonight. We will see how this works out, I agreed with most that Weekes should get the nod tonight and Clemmer in Buffalo but I as we all know, my NHL coaching stint never panned out!

No surprise on Clemmensen. Everything pointed to that yesterday.

sure weekes is from T.O but do we all forget that Clemmer will want to really prove himself to the team that didn't resign him last summer?

Clemmer's going to play both games...

Interesting that TSN has Zach Parise at No. 4 in its latest player rankings. That's behind Ovechkin, Malkin and Tim Thomas, but ahead of Sidney Crosby, who is No. 5. Patrik Elias is ranked No. 17.

I hope that Rolston will find his game and find it soon. Its very painful to watch him play or try too.

I saw that too TG. It's pretty interesting

it's because zach is better. well, maybe that's wishful thinking, but he does seem to have closed the gap a bit.
how do they do the rankings TG? i ask because i'm not sure how you value a player's worth based on stats. here's the proof:
no chara, no jumbo joe, in top 20?
hossa 15th?
luongo 10th?...he's been injured.

i cant believe that Zach is valued higher on that list than Crosby.

Sounds like good news to me. I think we need to let the Devils know that the fans care alot about them. Like when they do something good, always do a chant of their name so they know that we thinking about them. Especially our guys that we're looking to be career players.
I wish I could go to all the games.

"Player rankings are based on statistical production and are intended to value the impact a player has on the game."
Direct from TSN for whats its worth.

I think what separates Parise in those rankings is the fact that he has 3 game winning goals and Crosby has none. And fewer penalty minutes, as well. Zach could be on his way to the Lady Byng this season. It is more a fantasy league ranking than reality. Zach's not better than Crosby, but close enough.
