Although defenseman Colin White practiced again today, he did not make the trip with the team this afternoon to Raleigh, N.C. and will miss his fifth game in a row Tuesday night against Carolina because of an upper body injury.
White said he is close to being ready to play.
"I'm getting better every day," he said.

Dainius Zubrus said he didn't practice again today for the same reason as Saturday.
"Same thing," he said. "Maintenance."
Zubrus did make the trip and will play in Tuesday's game in Carolina. It was suggested that he didn't practice today because he scored two goals in Sunday's 4-3 overtime win over Ottawa after not practicing on Saturday.
"It's not a routine," he said.
Devils coach Brent Sutter also dismissed the notion that Zubrus doesn't need to practice.
"I wouldn't get carried away with that one," Sutter said.
Scott Clemmensen will start in net again. It will be his 12th start in a row.
Keep on ROLLING CLEMMER!!!!

This is kinda random, but since NC is only about 7 & 1/2 hrs, give or take a little with traffic. Do the Devils bus down or fly down? Don't know why but I'm curious. With the way airports are having to show up 1 & 1/2 to 2 hours early, the flight, etc. it would almost take just as long with less stress.

The Devs charter their own plane. They don't travel like the rest of us common folk.

The Devils have their own plane now. No need to take a bus.

Take the bus for 7 1/2 hours? Are they the Charlestown Chiefs?
Tom,
Do the Devils still take a bus to Philadelphia or do they now fly? That's only a little more than an hour away, but the international airport is just a couple miles south of the Flyers' arena.

Ha they bus to philly, I know that.
I assume it's Isle/Rags/Philly that they bus too. MAYBE Boston depending on weather. Everything else fly.
