TG, any idea why Bergfors isn't attending? Lou said he would. And Mattias Tedenby said in a recent article that Bergfors would be there. Did something come up? Thanks.

oh how i hope we have some future studs and stars on this list.
Posted by: modnarm | July 11, 2009 at 12:48 PM
further more.. i hope we some future Cup Champions on here.

I wanna go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate that the devils never allow fans to watch the kids!! Its ridiculous!!! btw we should trade Brodeur for Carey Price and several prospects becuase we certainly are not winning the cup in the next three years and he might as well fulfill his dream by playing for the Habs. Yeah call it what u want but it would be smart for the future. Price is only 21 and has playoff experience already. I love Marty to death, especially for coming to see my dying newphew but he should go and get a change of scenery.

drivinmenutz29, i think its official, you have gone nuts
Posted by: Merms | July 11, 2009 at 12:54 PM
I do not want to see Price in a Devils sweater... ever.

I really think Brandon Burlon could turn out to be a pretty solid D man. And of course there is no bases to this claim, i'm just saying it.

Any possibility of signing Mike Comrie? It should be worth it just to have Hilary Duff in the stands at The Rock.

TG,
Who are the other 2 goalies aside from Frazee? I think they are not real prospects but bodies to be in between the pipes.
Posted by: Vic Speigel | July 11, 2009 at 01:01 PM
wheres Pikkarainen?
Posted by: Denny Brute | July 11, 2009 at 01:01 PM
Thanks for the confidence Vic Speigel
Posted by: Charles Long | July 11, 2009 at 01:02 PM
Yea rite!!!! you guys are nutz!!! are we winning the cup anytime sooo...no way!! So instead of drafting a younger guy then Frazee, you go and get an established goaltender who is young. Marty only wants to play for Montreal so it works out. They make a cup run and we rebuild for the future. Makes sense. Do you??

Please tell me one of these guys can scrap, we'll need a replacement for Rupp this season
Posted by: Denny Brute | July 11, 2009 at 01:03 PM
Wow seeing all the brothers Lou has gotten is funny... Nieds leaving to play with his brother must have really effected him.
Posted by: Xander Crews | July 11, 2009 at 01:04 PM
Pikkarainen is 28 or 29.
Denny, you didnt watch much last year, did you? Rupp didnt fight much, Clarkson and Lebond handled most of the fights.
Posted by: Merms | July 11, 2009 at 01:06 PM
I'll try to get the answer to those questions when the camp begins on Monday. Lamoriello did say that all of the eligible players would be there, but did not mention Bergfors by name.
I don't know why Pikkarainen isn't on the list.
Posted by: TG | July 11, 2009 at 01:07 PM
Rupp fought all year..I watched every game, not sure LeBlond will be with us all season, Clarkson cant handle Brashear, LeBlond can- but we still need a full time big man to scrap
Posted by: Denny Brute | July 11, 2009 at 01:09 PM
I honestly can't tell if your joking or now, Drivin.
Carey freakin Price? Really? I'd take Yann Danis as our everyday starter over Carey Price, and I'm dead serious about that...
Posted by: Josh | July 11, 2009 at 01:09 PM
Merms..136 Pims for Rupp - those PIMS were mostly from fighting
Posted by: Denny Brute | July 11, 2009 at 01:12 PM
Merms, did you watch much? Rupp had 16 fighting majors, Clarkson 20. Big difference. They were both among the top 20 in FM, Clarkson 7th and Rupp 19th.

I know it wont happen, but itd be nice to see Hoeffel make the team this year, the kid's got amazing speed and is great on the defensive side of the puck

I've been a Devil's fan since 1983 and I have to say that this is the most depressed I've ever been about the an upcoming season. I'm not sure how much of this is Lou and how much is the owner, but I just can't see this team competing for a cup. It seems to me that over the past 5-6 years Lou either blows it on the free agent signings (signings don't work out) or misses out altogether. This team had glaring needs on D and the center position and nothing worth mentioning has been done to correct that. Then, all the CIA type secrecy from Lou. Why wouldn't you allow your fans to watch the prospects? Throw us a bone, would you? It's tough to be a Devils fan sometimes.
