wow i read it and looked right past it sorry guys...i figured it would be boston at fenway its on the boston website, the announcement is..are you going TG?
Posted by: murph | July 14, 2009 at 01:43 PM
Hi TG, can you ask the 3 Swedes what was up with their NYC outing and all the funny posing?
Posted by: NJSwampdragon | July 14, 2009 at 01:43 PM
RickyM2, the Flames and Islanders are playing out in Western Canada. The Islanders don't usually hold their training camp in Uniondale, they go up north to Nova Scotia I believe.
B.C., It's basically the same way we all knew JL would be the new Devils coach, the announcement makes it official, and we still don't know exactly who the opponent will be for Boston.
NJSwampdragon, They're young, they're foreign, they're tourists.

The term, "Blueshirts" is quite dumb frankly. Yes, their home jerseys are blue but so are other teams including the Maple Leafs.
I prefer BlueSkirts or Rags.

Thanks Neil, I just looked again and its in Saskatoon. That sucks, I was l;ooking forward to someone BOO'ing him with a Devils jersey on
Posted by: RickyM2 | July 14, 2009 at 02:32 PM
We can just call them the Vidal Sassoon team.

In a perfect world the Flames would make a sweep through the Atlantic Division. It'd be worth the tickets and road trips to Philly/Pitt to get some extra booing in.

TG..would like your thoughts on the prospects at camp and who looks good, who is faster than your thought, who has demonstarated some slick moves, who's been pretty tough, and who is having a rough time of it?

I really want to see the Flames and the Rangers play.
There will be fireworks that game because it will be the first time that Avery gets to face Phaneuf after making those disparaging comments (Phaneuf's girlfriend) that got him thrown out of Dallas. I can totally see Phaneuf looking to take a major run at him and looking to drop the gloves with the little weasel.
Plus the Flames added McGrattan and the Rangers added Brashear.
Should be fun to watch that one! ;)

TG, any rumors on who the home opener might be against?
Posted by: Steve Lepore | July 14, 2009 at 04:16 PM
The Predators revealed today that they'll be playing us twice this season. Oh joy.

I have a little inside info on the Devils' schedule, but I've been sworn to secrecy. I'll just say that something will happen in 2009-10 that hasn't happened in quite some time.

Devils open there season in one of the Canadian teams?
Posted by: Grant M. | July 14, 2009 at 07:05 PM
Well unless it's super obvious TG, you'll have to make a new post about it. HA. I don't want to be left in the wind.

TG, any word on the status of Petr Vrana? Where's he these days? He put up some good numbers in Juniors.
