(*A limited number of $10 tickets are available two hours prior to gametime.)
The Prudential Center box office is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and through the second intermission of all Devils' home games.
way too much money. The Devs would make just as much if they lowered the prices and filled the seats! Thats why the upper level is filled cuz everyone gets the 35 and 10$ seats! no more 25.. or 20? i think they had one of those last year. Its such a far drive away.. parking costs.. gas costs.. seats cost..

That's why you take the train and don't drive.
Though I am upset that they got rid of the $25. It is always sort of sad to see the entire top level packed and nobody sitting in the lower levels.

Hey TG, there's a report from Andy Strickland at hockeybuzz that Mike Mckenna will be at the Devils training camp as a tryout. Any truth there?

The team doesn't get any cut from parking, right? Did they at CAA or did it all go to NJSEA? If 1 person goes, they usually bring 1-3 other people. If they all get at least 1 beer/soda and a hot dog, you've already made up your difference for the lower ticket prices in concessions. Add in merchandise and the fact that most people get tons of concessions, it only makes sense to get as many people in the door, at almost any price.
Give the team some credit though. They've put together a ton of small packages and such that they've never had in the past. They are having more daily pricing promotions which they never did either. The team is at least moving in the right direction.

I actually thought that the Devils would lower prices for this season rather than raise them.
How many people do they really expect are going to pay more than $35 nowadays?
Posted by: Maximus | September 04, 2009 at 02:43 PM
I would like to see if College Game Night is back, however the issue this year is the only day of the week that has enough games is Wednesday and it is has a lot of games, like 7+ or something like that.

seriously maximus? i dont know many people who refuse to pay more than $35 for a ticket. In fact, most people plan on paying more.

Got my season tickets in the mail!!!! Beats christmas!!

TG,
I also say an article(Not from Eklund)that NJ invited goalie Mike Mckenna to camp for a tryout, is there any truth to the rumor?
Posted by: troy | September 04, 2009 at 02:57 PM
I'll check into it, but, seriously, why do people care so much about Mike McKenna getting a tryout?
Are you that desperate for some kind of news?
Posted by: TG | September 04, 2009 at 03:04 PM
never heard of Mike McKenna... is he supposed to be any good?

"Are you that desperate for some kind of news?"
Yes. :-)

Why are people complaining about the ticket prices? Didn't the Devils slash the majority of prices for this season? You can lower bowl season tickets for $50, that's a good deal. They always have discount codes to get the $70 seats at half off anyways.

I am not rich by any means, but I don't find the prices to be that bad. I got 4 seats for $49 each behind marty. The view is great and you get in and right out. I split the seats with another guy makes it even better. Parking is a rip job, and it takes 3 hours to get out of the lot next to the rock. Overall I think it isn't that bad. Then again I am not in college etc, so I see both sides. But I feel there are plenty of ranges for all to buy.
Pj
Can't do the draft tues night, I'm working. So I will preset my guys and roll the dice

Hockey cant start soon enough

@nnjrules
If Wed. at 9PM is better for you, I could always switch leagues with you. I could care less if I'm in league 1 or league 2.
Posted by: Number6 | September 04, 2009 at 03:42 PM
i wouldn't be against it, if that works better for you... but set up a really long Q of players because it is a 25 round draft to fill out the rosters
Posted by: Pearl Jammed | September 04, 2009 at 03:47 PM
The thing for me, Merms, is that it cuts down on the total number of games I can afford to go to. Of course I'll be paying the $35! :) But not nearly as many times as I would have paid for less.

TG,
Your damned if you do, damned if you don't.
If you tried to accommodate the thirst for news, you'd end up posting all kinds of drivel. Then People would complain about that.
By not posting said drivel; your readers end up doing it for you, and complain that your not.
Have a nice weekend everyone!

they lowered the lower level seats this year by like $5 that makes a difference over 41 home games + playoffs
Posted by: murph | September 04, 2009 at 05:35 PM
TG, I have heard from TB fans that they liked Mckenna so I was curious.
Maximus, you and i are different, i make sure i have money for games. last season i had season tickets and
attended about 35 games. unfortunately this season i am out of state most of the season but i'm buying tickets to every game i will be in NJ for.
Posted by: Merms | September 04, 2009 at 06:22 PM
anyone know what the promotion schedule for Devils games are and where i can see it?
Posted by: MoonDragn | September 04, 2009 at 09:03 PM
These ticket prices are unreal. I am a die-hard devils fan from just outside of Calgary and can't believe how cheap tickets are.
I am used to paying at least $90 for a ticket in Calgary (that is if I can find one or two)
I am sooo pumped for March as will be able to see the devils live in Calgary and Edmonton. Sucks only being able to see the devils every 2 years.

At least the flames are finally decent so Brodeur will hopefully get the start. Sick of waiting so long to see the devs live and devs would start Dunham or Schwab (? spelling) when the flames were pathetic.

Hat day vs Nashville, youth jersey day vs Islanders on November 28, calander night vs Atlanta 10/16, magnetic schedule opening night against Philly.
