New at Mantra

Fresh off a "Best-of" nod from NJ Monthly, executive chef Purvesh Patel and co. at Mantra in Paramus are tacking some new items onto the Indian/fusion restaurant's menu.

Joining the regular menu is a new "chef's corner" menu, featuring ravioli stuffed with saag paneer (spiced spinach and cottage cheese) and topped with an "Indian version of an Italian sauce." Also on the menu will be a grilled wild salmon dish served with a curry sauce, and a stir-fried chicken entree.

Why does indian food have to disguise itself as italian to make itself palatable? I think the Chefs at Mantra do not know what they're doing.

The ravioli is unbelievable. I had it a few weeks ago and i LOVED it!
