The Southern Comfort Bistro has opened in Hasbrouck Heights, serving jambalaya, gumbo and red beans and rice, as well as house-smoked barbecue pork and ribs. It's largely a one-man show, with owner Lynn Rex running the place at dinner and her son, Clint Davis, overseeing lunch. It's a small restaurant, with just 18 seats.
