Nicola's Ristorante will be leaving its longtime Hawthorne home in January to move into a double storefront in Totowa Village, the new shopping center under construction on Union Boulevard in Totowa.
"It's just a better location, more traffic," owner Nick Mariella said today. "Here, our locaton's a little rough. Everyone thinks we're in Paterson."
The traditional Italian menu will be unchanged, but Mariella says everything else will be new in the new place. He expects a seamless transition in late January, without having to close his existing location first.
"I think we'll move right over. I don't think there will be a problem" he said.
Nicola's is at 142 Goffle Road, Hawthorne; 973-238-9441; nicolasristorante.net.

Awesome news, considering Totowa Village has been a vacant waste of space for months and months and months.
