Celebrating prohibition's end

Tariq Zehawi photo___bertas Berta's Chateau, a restaurant that basically ignored prohibition by hiding a still behind the restaurant, is celebrating the 75th anniversary of the end of it.

"I would have loved to charge 1933 prices, but hey, that just isn't gonna happen," said chef-owner Peter Bernstein in an e-mail.

Instead, the restaurant is taking 25 percent off all food and beverage today through Sunday for customers who pay with cash and mention the promotion.
