Wine dinner at Stinger's

Stinger's Family Grill is hosting a five-course wine dinner at 6:30 p.m. Monday, featuring a diverse selection of Australian wines, including two from Penfolds. The price is $45 and reservations are required.

Stinger's is at 413 Paterson Ave., Wallington; 201-933-6016; stingersgrill.com.

Here's the menu:

1st Course
SOUP
Puree of black bean and mango with
a dollop of jalapeno sour cream
Yellowglen Pink Sparkling

2nd Course
SCALLOP PICANTE
Tri pepper dusted sea scallop pan seared
served over a tropic Jicama salad and
crispy Bermuda onion
Penfolds Thomas Hyland Riesling

3rd Course
SPINACH FETTUCCINI
with a wild mushroom ragout
Rosemount Show Reserve Mudgee Shiraz

4th Course
ROASTED LAMB
Roasted loin of Australian lamb over a
cranberry port reduction with charred
scallions and rosemary roasted potatoes
Devil's Lair Cabernet Sauvignon, Margaret River

5th Course
Apple Ginger Crisp
Granny smith apples, oats. Cinnamon and
brown sugar baked golden brown served
with cinnamon gelato
