Ken Trickilo (center), the executive chef for South City Restaurant Group's Fire & Oak restaurants in Little Falls and Montvale, is now overseeing the kitchens of the three South City Grills, too, owner Graeme Dorras told (201) magazine.
He replaces Gregory Webb, who became corporate executive chef last year. Webb said yesterday he'd left the restaurant.

Yakitori 39 will open tomorrow in Teaneck. It replaces Zen Den Grill, which replaced Bistro American, which replaced Bistro En -- all in about a year.
The restaurant serves, appropriately, yakitori, which is bamboo-skewered chicken grilled over charcoal. Other Japanese appetizers, salads and entrees are offered.

Gregory Webb, hired to be the executive chef for the South City Restaurant Group a year ago, has left the restaurant.
He has an "open ticket" to return in a month, said owner Graeme Dorras, but Webb, reached on his cellphone, suggested that his departure was permanent.

The weekly list of health inspections, which is published Fridays in the Better Living section, will have some notable nuggets, starting with an unsatisfactory rating for Asahi Sushi in Norwood. The town's health department is only open until 1 p.m., so we don't yet know why. (The restaurant was fined a year ago for having food stored above the safe temperature.)
