Farms View in Wayne has opened its strawberry patch for pick-your-own customers. The farm is at 945 Black Oak Ridge Road, Wayne; 973-839-1212; farmsview.com.
When you get yours, try them in these recipes: Fresh strawberry pie (for today), strawberry bon bons (for tomorrow) and strawberry jewels (for when strawberry season is gone).
Ken Trickilo (center), the executive chef for South City Restaurant Group's Fire & Oak restaurants in Little Falls and Montvale, is now overseeing the kitchens of the three South City Grills, too, owner Graeme Dorras told (201) magazine.
He replaces Gregory Webb, who became corporate executive chef last year. Webb said yesterday he'd left the restaurant.

But going into that small shopping center will be Sliders, presumably a burger joint, according to an InfoUSA listing.
Luciano's Pizzeriahas opened in Wyckoff, promising the "biggest slice in town," according to its Web site. Its serves traditional and thin-crust pizzas in addition to pastas and sandwiches. A second Luciano's is in Montclair.

Yakitori 39 will open tomorrow in Teaneck. It replaces Zen Den Grill, which replaced Bistro American, which replaced Bistro En -- all in about a year.
The restaurant serves, appropriately, yakitori, which is bamboo-skewered chicken grilled over charcoal. Other Japanese appetizers, salads and entrees are offered.
Gregory Webb, hired to be the executive chef for the South City Restaurant Group a year ago, has left the restaurant.
He has an "open ticket" to return in a month, said owner Graeme Dorras, but Webb, reached on his cellphone, suggested that his departure was permanent.
Madeleine's Petit Paris will begin offering a selection of entrees priced below $20 under a new "Plat Du Jour" section of its menu.
The eight entrees, which will change biweekly, will include the potato and vegetable of the day. The menu will be offered Tuesday to Friday beginning June 2.
