A kosher bistro and patisserie named MochaBleu is coming to 1399 Queen Anne Road in Teaneck. Naftali Abenaim, who owns the restaurant with his wife, Hila, said he hoped to open in about three weeks.
The restaurant will feature a French-Italian fusion menu, pizza from a wood-burning oven, sushi and non-alcoholic cocktails. The attached patisserie will feature Illy coffee and pastries and breads baked in-house.
As the restaurant is kosher, no meat will be served, it will be closed Friday night through Saturday afternoon and only kosher wine will be allowed to be brought in. The Abenaims are fashion designers, and this is their first restaurant.
Naftali Abenaim said the spot is the former Teaneck Grill, which has been vacant for about 14 years.
