On KROCK radio: The NJ National Guard
As I noted in previous blog entries, I spent two days last week at Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania, watching the New Jersey National Guard begin training in preparation for deployment in Iraq. When I returned, Bob Salter of KROC and WFAN interviewed me and asked me to describe what the training is like and why this deployment is so historic. It is the largest overseas deployment of NJ National Guard soldiers since World War II. The interview was broadcast early Sunday morning. But you can listen to it, by clicking here: Download krock_w_bob_salter_040608.mp3
I hope you are relishing your moments in the spotlight with your "historic" articles and interviews while meanwhile you are simply highlighting the grief and misery of others.
