Menendez, Pascrell applaud suit
Two members of the Congressional delegation are applauding Governor Corzine's decision to sue the federal government over new rules for subsidized health insurance for children.
Here's what Sen. Bob Menendez had to say in a statement:
"In Congress and on the state level, we are standing up to the president's misguided plans to restrict health coverage for children who have nowhere else to turn. This is a matter of values – do we value our children and do our actions match our values? The administration's actions do not."
Rep. Bill Pascrell Jr., D-Paterson, also chimed in:
"If the President continues to block bipartisan legislative efforts in Congress, we have no recourse but to seek legal justice for thousands of New Jersey’s children. The President’s veto will not deter our efforts to move forward with a stronger more flexible children’s health insurance program."
