Emmy nomination?
After winning Best Drama in its first season out, "Lost" failed to pick up subsequent nominations until -- MAYBE -- this year.
Official nominations will be out in a few days and we hear that "Lost" is a finalist, so keep your fingers crossed.
Here's the interesting part, though: In an attempt to put their most accessible foot forward, the producers screened a bunch of Season 4 episodes for folks who DON'T watch the show, figuring that too much inside baseball wouldn't cut the mustard with Emmy voters. In other words, they wanted "Lost" virgins to pick the Season 4 ep that would appeal to the broadest possible audience, not just hardcore Losties.
When all was said and done, the panel chose, yes, one of the best episodes ever: The Constant.
We congratulate them for their excellent judgment.
Now, let's see about that nomination....
