Wright's All-Star Shot
David Wright never seemed to need much help earning his way onto the All-Star team, voted in as a starter the last two seasons. But his shot right now comes in the fan vote for the final spot. The voting, which is already underway at MLB.com, runs through Thursday at 5 p.m. (EST). Here are the candidates for the spot:
| PLAYER | TEAM | POS | AB | AVG | HR | RBI | SB |
| Pat Burrell | PHI | OF | 285 | .277 | 21 | 53 | 0 |
| Corey Hart | MIL | OF | 331 | .293 | 14 | 53 | 12 |
| Carlos Lee | HOU | OF | 328 | .293 | 19 | 66 | 4 |
| Aaron Rowand | SF | OF | 304 | .303 | 8 | 47 | 1 |
| David Wright | NYM | 3B | 335 | .287 | 16 | 66 | 9 |
I'm a Met fan, but I'm voting for Corey Hart because he has the most well rounded numbers of this group and also to give David Wright a 3 day rest.

Well, since David Wright's own public passionate plea to be included I've changed my mind and am voting for David, rest be damned.
