Trade Talk - A Look Back

Omar While the talk has already begun - and really seemed to swing forward in full about two minutes after the Mets finished off another disappointing season - before we get into the full frenzy of whether the Mets should sign Sabathia or K-Rod, Manny or Teixeira, and deal for Brian Roberts or Alfonso Soriano, let me look back just for a moment.

Omar Minaya has taken a lot of heat lately for the Mets' failings, the cost of two straight last-day collapses capped off by a contract extension. Some of his deals have been good, some have been bad (you know who you are Luis Castillo).

So before we move forward, judge one more time what you've seen in the past. I'm not going to rehash e-mails praising Burgos and Castillo before they arrived and trashing Santana. I'll take you at your word - let us know what you thought before the deal and what you think now. I'm not going to include every one of his deals - do we really need to judge the Felix Heredia acquisition?
