Well, at least the Mets aren't on the cover. That fate falls to the Yankees.
But Sports Illustrated just came out with its baseball preview issue and they pick the Mets to capture the 2009 World Series, beating the Angels.

I think I was.
I do have the Indians bordering on a playoff berth in my predictions just in case he stays though.
