Personnel and lines remained the same at this morning's practice as the Rangers prepare to host the Montreal Canadiens tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m. (It's a TSN game in Canada, hence the later start). The teams have met once before, also after the Rangers had beaten the Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Rangers were throttled in Montreal, 6-2, on Dec. 4.
Among the snippets from around the dressing room: Colton Orr's hand is OK after he bashed it a few times off Eric Godard's helmet, defenseman Wade Redden believes the team relies too much on Henrik Lundqvist to bail it out and Scott Gomez enters the second half of the season feeling 100 percent physically, something he wasn't able to say much at all in the first half.
And, almost hate to mention this because it is pure speculation and "reading the tea leaves" but my reporter antenna were up today to a possible roster move, perhaps sending Lauri Korpikoski down if he's not going to play for a while.
More later.
