Right now they are in serious trouble. If they don't get two points tonight the next time they play it's quite possible they are going to be 9th or 10th in the standings. I saw an article on NHL.com that hinted that the team may move some Defensemen or forwards because Tortorella likes to run three lines and 4 D men-does that make sense to anyone out there? By that logic they could move a bunch of guys and get an impact player like Tkachuk, Pronger or Bouuwmeester.

Jim

Hey Andrew,

At this point in the season and the make up of this team would'nt you agree it is time to sell?

Read your article this morning (yes I get Record delivered) on Vincent L., the only guy I see moving is Gomez to free up some big $$. If the Rangers had cap space what would it take to get him here?

Andrew Gross

Jim,

I don't necessarily disagree that the Rangers are going to have a really hard time making the playoffs and that being sellers at this point might not be the wiser way to go. But there's no way this organization is going to be sellers, not with them having just brought in a new coach. That was done to save their postseason appearance.

To get Lecavalier, my take is it would probably have to be Gomez, a package of picks (including at least one No. 1) and one other decent player.
