The Red Bulls take on the Houston Dynamo in the Carolina Challenge Cup in Charleston, South Carolina. Watch the action on the Charleston Battery website. The match starts at 8:15pm.
If you enjoyed the one-man broadcast provided by Eric "I'm better than most of the play-by-play soccer guys in America" Tosi, you're in for a special treat tonight. Sources tell me that 2005 MLS Team Manager of the Year Shaun Oliver will provide some color commentary tonight. How is that going to sound? Probably as good as you can hope for from a pair of Boston guys doing soccer (or as they would say, soccah).
Enjoy.

Was this the guy who sounded monotone and constipated the last game? I think youre hyping him due to low expectations- Charleston said there would be no commentator, and we got some amateur- more Minor league Soccer

The ommentators are excellent. Good observaions, no hype.

These announcers are some amateur fill ins used as a last resort since there were no alternate announcers.
You probably couldnt tell the difference between a $1000 bottle of Cristal from some $5 Champagne bought from CVS either.

The internet sure makes some people brave, doesn't it? I sure can tell the difference between someone who has something worth saying and a moron like you.

Youre the deaf moron who doest realize that these guys get tongue tied or ummm/errrrrr every 2 seconds.
These guys are just stating the obvious while reading of the player bios.
The fans who do the EPL fan zone game are better than these boring awkward amateurs.

Whatever. Go wrap yourself in your Man U shirt and leave sensible people alone.

Youre the deaf guy with no quality standards or good taste, and I'm the unsensible one?

Tony M, don't waste your time with that moron.
Clint looks lively, I'm starting to like that deal...

Ives,
Can you give your player assessments and ratings for this game; I had to pop in and out for the entire game. New York was playing some entertaining soccer before they gave up the first goal and then the team seemed to get heavy legs and have poor ball control after that moment.

Uh, you have the oldest midfield in the league.
Good luck with that.

The Bulls midfield looked awesome with great passing and pressuing defense for 70 minutes... and did have heavy legs after that but remeber Houston has been in training longer than the Bulls due to the Concacaf Champ.... Hey "DC" you are just jealous and inaccurate.. Dane Richards is 21, Reyna looked and played like he was 27, VDB and Schopp are 28...so how does that make the Bulls midfield old...
Also I am with Tony M. the annoouncers were very good thanks to Eric... moda needs his head examined...or a least as a shampoo!

Nigrin- your a fan of RB- the worst team in pro soccer history if not the worst team in the history of pro sports- WTF do you know about quality?

moda - here's the door. Shut it on your way out.
(Although, AG, Reyna is 33, Schopp is 33, VDB is 30... the midfield is pretty old.)
