U.S. U-20s to play at Giants Stadium
The U.S. Under-20 national team will play at Giants Stadium on June 23rd as part of a doubleheader with the U.S. Women's national team. The match will be one of the team's final preparation matches for this summer's Under-20 World Championships in Canada in late June.
A source has told me that the U-20 team, which features Jozy Altidore, Freddy Adu, Michael Bradley and Gabriel Ferrari, will hold its pre-tournament camp at the Premier Development Academy in New Jersey and will play two friendlies in the area. One will be the match on the 23rd at Giants Stadium, the second one will be played in the area at as yet unknown location. The June 23rd match will be part of a doubleheader with the U.S. women's national team's exhibition against Brazil. Kickoff for the women's game is 5pm.
Opponents for the matches were not known at this time but they will likely be two teams that are competing in the Under-20 world championships. Sources have identified Chile and New Zealand as the likely opponents.
US Soccer would only confirm that talks are underway regarding a U-20/Women's national team doubleheader, but that nothing has been finalized.

What were you doing on the internet, Ives? You should be watching 24!!!;-)
