My DVR is going to be in some SERIOUS pain come Monday morning... that thing is getting a workout this weekend!

It's all about watching Jol secure his job as the Spurs beat ManU on Sunday.

for those of us too lazy to put this together (eg. me), this is a great feature and is really appreciated...any chance of this being constant on Fridays?

Hey Ives,
I have been checking your blog for some months now, keep up the good work. As a portuguese I am glad Fredy Adu's move may give some exposure to the Portuguese Bwin Liga. The portuguese league is always a hot bed for new talent with my team in specific, Sporting Club de Portugal, uncovering a new young star each year.
As a good suggestion for this weekend a different type of Classico. Second week of the Bwin league F.C.Porto-Sporting
you can check it out on www.tuga.tv or com or pt (not sure)
Again, keep up the good work

Madrid Derby is the big match. Interesting to see now that Torres is gone, can Atletico with all their new signings finally get over the hump as perennial bridesmaids. I fancy Atletico to make the CL next year, you heard it here first. Also how many games are we giving Bernd Schuster. I say the over/under for his firing is 15 games

i would say the Madrid derby, but I don't get GolTV. So, I say the Inter-Udinese game. Inter was fun to watch in the preseason.

Good news for people who have comcast if you have that bootleg service where you do not get Fox Soccer Channel, they are running a free preview for this weekend so you can see Man City v. Arsenal and all the other games on the Channel

So, I don't get GolTV, but my cable provider (Cablevision) recently added this channel called WorldSport HD, which apparently has some rights to show La Liga matches in HDTV.
Their website says that they will have the Madrid derby on Saturday, but my Cablevision listing doesn't seem to agree.
Anybody get this channel and know what the story is with it?

Seriously Ronaldinho way to ruin a perfectly good picture with your banana hammock.

Uh oh. I just bought the package that gets me GolTV. Haven't told the fiancee yet. I hope she won't break off our wedding next year.
Pray for me.

Al, I got cablevision also and Cablevision offers GOL TV as a seperate channel for 5 bucks month. Dirt cheap if you consider how much soccer they show

Since I have FSC and MSG, I'll be watching/DVRing the EPL and Metros.

Watching Blackburn at Everton before heading up to Foxboro for the Red Bulls at New England.

Is Samuel Eto'o chump change now? I would think it's the Barcelona quartet!

Will not miss the Barca season opener. Did Racing keep their big man/little man forward duo together over the summer?
Citeh v the Arse looks tasty as well. Wenger has the wits to match Sven, and Arsenal have been team for longer than the Thai mercenaries. Still, Man City definitely has momentum. And Micah Richards might well be the next England captain.

Anybody have news on why the La Liga matches weren't shown this weekend?
Posted by: George Weah | August 26, 2007 at 01:35 PM
Wtf? It's 1:30 and Barcelona isn't on GolTV. And yesterday, they didn't show the Real Madrid game either!
Anyway, that was pretty scary when that Sevilla guy "swalled his tongue". :-(
