Barcelona.

Ives, do you have any updates on Hahnemann's contract situation at Reading?

I just read on BBC that he is upset because there are no talks. Thanks for anything you can find.

Why don't you add the Setanta schedule as well?

Arsenal plays a League Cup tie against Sheffield United at 3:45 est.

Isn't Genoa playing Inter today? And Inter plays Juve on the weekend, I believe.

Villarreal ripping Levante apart now, 2-0, with Rossi scoring on a PK.

Wish I could find out what is up with Szetela -- once again, he's not on the roster.

the Roma-Lazio match looks the tastiest. Didn't realize that Spain was playing midweek matches this week (didn't set my DVR for it, but then GolTV will likely replay the matches tonight). Real M-Valencia looks like it will be fun to watch. David Villa is one of the players I enjoy watching the most.

In this moment Benfica plays the 2nd. leg of the League Cup at Setúbal against Vitória.

Adu is starting.

Villarreal ripping Levante apart now, 2-0, with Rossi scoring on a PK.

Villarreal is a beast. I loved watching them play Barcelona (3-1 Villa).

Adu scores (a disputable PK).

Half-time:
Setúbal, 0 - Benfica, 1

Looks like Roma beat Lazio.

And Nico's right, Inter is playing Genoa at the moment. 1-0 20 minutes in.

Michael Bradley scores for Herenveen in a losing effort to Ajax today.

Genoa mounting a nice offense as it goes to half-time. Hasn't been able to finish yet. Milan players racking up fouls.

Yeah, Inter played Genoa today.

Juve thrashed Empoli today. Poor Empoli was unlucky to have faced a pissed off Juve team looking for blood from Saturday's controversial loss.

This sets up an excellent match on Sunday afternoon in Torino between Juventus and Inter.

Inter goal, 50th minute. 2-0

Benfica loses 2-1 against Setúbal. Benfica is out of League Cup.

Hernan Crespo just ran up through the middle, got the ball passed to him, dribbled /around/ the goalie who dived, and then kicked it a mile wide... Amazing. (56th minute)

More fouls all around.

Another mile wide shot by Inter courtesy of Cruz.

Jurich (Genoa) gets a boot to the face in the middle of a sliding tackle.

Sub - Davio Suazo comes in for Crespo.

Genoa scores thanks to Konko defeating a tacker and the GK at the same time - epic.

2-1 73rd minute.

....

3-1 73:14. Milan takes the ball back and runs it straight to the goal. Genoa needs to fire it's GK as he, once again, comes out far and gets defeated.

Sub by Milan - Caesar for Burdisso. 78th minute. Looks like they're just resting him, Milan's in absolutely no trouble.

Genoa can't seem to put any pressure on them. None of their forwards seem eager to actually take the ball in, everyone keeps passing and Milan just picks it apart.

Sub by Genoa - Lucarelli subbed out for Masiello. 80th minute.

Julio César de León defeats a Milan defender and nearly tucks it into the left corner, goes just over the crossbar. Easily Genoa's best chance so far.

Sub for Milan - Figor comes out for Solari. 85th minute.

Inter gets a penalty in the 86th. Nails it in. 4-1

Genoa stands no chance of coming back, completely poor performance with the exception of a few runs by Leon.

3 Minutes of Stoppage granted - why, I'm not quiet sure. Genoa continues to flounder.
-------------------

Final Score: 4-1 Milan.

Michael Bradley played decently for an outclassed Heerenveen side this morning. His late goal was merely consolation, but he took it well.

DaMarcus Beasley played the full 90 for Rangers in the CIS quarterfinals, and was solid, orchestrating the second goal with an electric run.

Also, Freddy Adu scored again for Benfica in the 45 minute on a Penalty kick, but Vitoria Sebutal scored twice after the break to take the win, and the aggregate victory 3-2.

For the record, Adu had three cup goals,- two pks, and a 92nd minute equaliser.

Coupled with his winner of the weekend, thats 4 goals in 6 appearances for the wee player, well done. Keep working Freddy.

Vitoria Setubal 2 - Benfica 1
Weak penalty claim, but well taken by Adu.

Poor you, you don't know what the derby means in Rome ;o) FORZA ROMAAA!!! (all together now: "volevate vince voi, volevate vince voi. ve siete attaccatti ar *biiip*, ve siete attaccati ar *biiipp*!)
