Boxing Day EPL Soccer (Your running commentary)

Good morning folks. It is the day after Christmas, which means you are either heading to work and hating it or you're laying around enjoying another day off.

It also means a full slate of Boxing Day English Premier League matches. I listed today's TV schedule yesterday. Now, you can follow along with the action here. I won't be doing a marathon running commentary like Sunday but I figured I could provide a post for SBI readers to share their thoughts and views on today's matches. Those of you lucky enough to have Setanta or Fox Soccer Channel can feel free to discuss the action, and share it with those folks stuck at work today.

Enjoy the action:

Michael Ballack is a big puss!!!!! Throwing elbows and going down when someone looks at him. Ashley Cole goes down in the box like he was hit with a bullet from the grassy knoll! Rubbish.

Fulham is soooo (in trouble). Whoever the new manager is, he better start buying some players. I'm one of those unreasonable fans based in America... so, how about a spree with someone intelligent spending?

Phil Dowd is the least competent ref in the EPL. His crap decisions have ruined too many games this season. At this point, I don't even want to see him officiating an MLS game!

Solid first half from Spurs. Wow, Fulham really have nothing. They just can't get anything going. They can't even clear the ball properly.

I have been killing the Totties with Fulham on XBOX Live all week . . . GO FULHAM!

Dempsey scored again...Too bad TOT are winning 3-1

Thanks to everyone posting for those of us (me, unfortunately) that have to be in the office today.

Offside, blown call. At least it was Dempsey who scored.

Fulham really are shite. I love Dempsey, and his goal was urgly, but he scored, and I'm extremely happy for him. I hope he stays in the Premier next year. He deserves it, he deserves much better than Fulham.

Woooo Huddlestone with another. 4-1 Spurs, the rout is on. Can anyone describe Spurs' 3rd goal? My feed cut out.

Tap in at the near post for Keane off a corner.

Dempsey's finish was ugly, bundled home, shades of handball as well, but they all count the same.

Unselfish play from Huddlestone... rather than going for his hat trick, lays it off for Defoe, make it 5-1 Spurs. Very good afternoon for Spurs; a mess for Fulham.

I'm not a Chelsea or Villa fan, but I have to say that this is one of the most exciting games I've ever seen. Great end to end stuff.

Reading get a great point down a man and a goal away to the Hammers

Wow, I wish I'd seen the end of that Chelsea-Villa match!

Ives,
Any chance we get that Fire coaching search update today? Thanks man.

uggh.. I should have tivod the Chelsea and Villa match.. totally forgot!

I hope Dempsey gets transfered to a team that doesn't suck! My God, Fulham are terrible! At first I was mad this game wasn't on FSC, but after reading the match report I'm glad. Maybe Fulham can play to another draw against another crap team this Sat. UGH!
DEMPSEYSCORES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was a great point by Reading. Pathetic performance by the Hammers (I'm just bitter), but also due to the spirited play of Reading. They were great on defense today. I wonder if they deserved all 3 points (glad they didnt get them though).

Hammers have the worst home form.

Derby - Defenders are terrible!!!! I am sure that Conrad, Parkhurst, Robinson, etc.. could have at least fouled Torres on that first goal. Is Benny Feilhaber that bad that he can't get in the 11 at Derby?

Fulham - Dempsey needs to move to another team ASAP! Or hope that the new manager has an eye for talent - They paid more for Kamara and Healy than Dempsey. Those guys are rubbish! Bring back Cookie Coleman.

well at least Feilhaber is dressed and available on the bench - that's a step in the right direction

Feilhaber in at the half
