Time to splurge... for less

Sex and the Suburbs

In celebration of the upcoming "Sex and the City" movie release, Tender Is the Night lingerie boutique in Westwood is hosting a party from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. The shop is partnering with lingerie brand Cosabella, which has created fashion lines based on each of the "SATC" characters, and the event will feature an informal fashion show, drawings for lingerie prizes, and a trivia contest.
Guests will be treated to goodie bags and refreshments, which will include Carrie's cocktails and Charlotte's hors d'oeuvres.

"Every oil that we have smells like the original cologne or perfume," says owner Karim "Mr. Kay" Ben-Fredj. "People are always asking us, 'How is this possible?' "
Scentsational Shoppe specializes in more than 700 original fragrance oils, many of which smell exactly like designer perfumes. Because scents cannot be patented by law, the only real difference between Scentsational Shoppe fragrances and the expensive kind is name and packaging, Ben-Fredj says.
