Pierce to play

Apparently Antonio Pierce, who hinted all week he would not play against the Eagles, this morning talked the coaching staff into allowing him to start. So he will be in uniform. Good move? We'll see. Pierce did not play particularly well on his bad ankle last week.

James Butler (hamstring) is not dressed, so rookies Craig Dahl and Michael Johnson will start at the safety spots.

Brandon Jacobs (hamstring) will start at running back. And Steve Smith will NOT play, even though it looked all week like he would.

There is not one player of note on the Eagles scratch list.
