Tampa pitching notes, and the search for Carl Pavano

Here's the line on Brian Bruney and Humberto Sanchez, in the GCL today vs. the Phillies' affiliate:

Bruney: 1.0IP, 1H, 1K, 18 pitches.
Sanchez: 1.0IP, 1H, 1BB, 1K, 13 pitches.

Bruney might impact the club by Aug. 1, when LaTroy Hawkins might finally be released.

Today, Cashman said not to expect Phil Hughes in August (putting him on a September course with Wang).

And for you Carl Pavano fans, he might impact the club in the late, late second half, but probably not as a starter.

I suppose there's a humorous line in there somewhere.
