Joe Girardi, an ex-catcher, had to come to the mound to join Jose Molina for a quick conference in the seventh inning. We won't know until later - and maybe not then either - exactly what was said and who wanted what, but it's a pretty good bet that with an 0-2 count on Vlad Guerrero, the one who said, "Don't throw a pitch anywhere near the strike zone," was right.
Joba throws a slider in the dirt and Vlad swings and misses - prompting the biggest fist pump of the series. Whoever wanted that pitch deserves to pump their fist.
