They think we're going to play tonight. More importantly, they want to play tonight.
So, as you'd imagine, every effort will be made to play Game 2 at the Stadium -- and according to the latest forecast, there might not be any delays (as long as we stick to nine innings).
At game time, weather.com is predicting a light rain, with temps around 45. They can play in a spray or a shower, and the heaviest stuff isn't expected to hit until after 10 p.m. tonight. So, if we can get to the sixth or seventh inning, we've got a chance to make it.
And if there is a (perish the thought) rainout, it appears that we'd play at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow, and STILL play at 1 p.m., Pacific Time, on Monday afternoon -- which would absolutely destroy travel plans for most media.
So, like we said, expect a baseball game in the Bronx tonight.
