Carson Suits Up With Libs
GREENBURGH, N.Y. — If it wasn't for her new career path, Essence Carson would have been sitting in her "Intro to Labor Studies" class Monday at Rutgers.
But there will be no more classes for Carson now that she is officially a professional basketball player for the Liberty — the same franchise she rooted for as a young girl in Paterson.
"It couldn't have played out any better than it has thus far," Carson, the No. 7 overall pick in the recent WNBA draft, said Monday during media day at the Liberty training facility. "It's crazy being able to stay home throughout my entire basketball career."
