Kilpatrick Still Waiting

Seankilpatrick4_30200Sean Kilpatrick of White Plains has not yet committed to St. John's, desipte a report indicating he had earlier this week.

"There was a misunderstanding and we're still deciding," said Gerard Jones, Kilpatrick's advisor and the older brother of West Virginia commit Kevin Jones.

The 6-3 Kilpatrick, who averaged 25 points and 7 rebounds last season, earlier told ZAGSBLOG that St. John's was his No. 1 choice. He is also considering Kansas State, Cincinnati, Kentucky and UMasss.

"Because of the sitaution of waiting for the SAT score, every school has been willing to wait," JOnes said. "We really don't have any real time estimate. All the schools have been great with him. We're waiting for his scores. Everything is day by day."

6-8 Kevin Jones leaves for West Virginia in a month and is excited about joining a class that includes Darryl "Truck" Bryant of St. Raymond's and Devin Ebanks of St. Thomas More (Conn.)

"We were definitely pushing for (Ebanks to West Virginia over Texas, Memphis and Rutgers)," Jones said. "I think they can play well together, they complement each other. Two big wings that can play three different positions. That's a beautiful situation."

Bob Huggins must think so, too.
