Player Decks Coach
The New York Daily News is reporting that St. Raymond's junior Kevin Parrom was arrested Tuesday after punching coach Oliver Antigua in the face during a team meeting at the school.
According to one report, the dispute stemmed from a question over which AAU team Parrom would play with this summer.
"Kevin isn't going to hit somebody if he doesn't feel threatened," a source told The Daily News.
Antigua did not return a message left on his cell phone.
Parrom, a 6-6 small forward, averaged 14.5 points and nine rebounds for the Ravens last season. He holds offers from numerous schools, including Rutgers, St. John's, Pittsburgh, West Virginia and Xavier.
I all fairness to Kevin Parrom. He is not the type of kid that would hit a coach. Everyone here in NY knows that there is more to the story. THe fact that Oli Antigua has been at least 2 other scuffles with players says more about Antigua than it does about Parrom
