Sutton to Villanova; Seton Hall in the Mix for Costner?

Sutton_2 Maurice Sutton, a 6-10, 210-pound center-forward from Largo High (Upper Marlboro, Md.), chose Villanova over Indiana Wednesday.
"It came down to what God said, what God said goes," Sutton said, according to the Philadelphia Daily News. "When I went to Villanova for a visit, it just felt right. I just felt comfortable with coach [Jay] Wright . . . Everything, his personality, just the way he came in, he's just so honest. I know his track record. There is something about him I really like. I can really say that I'm going to love having him coach me for how ever many years I'm there.

IU coach Tom Crean offered Sutton a scholarship while still at Marquette.

Seton Hall was in the mix but pulled out after getting Melvyn "Big Mel" Oliver.
The Pirates have one ship remaining and are in the mix for Montclair's Brandon Costner, who may transfer from N.C. State.
"I know academics are very important to Brandon [a rising redshirt junior] and his parents," NC State coach Sidney Lowe told the Charlotte Observer in April. "I think they thought about him coming to school for three years and graduating.

"So that’s going to be always there. So that changes our thought process in terms of recruiting. We have to make sure we’ll have enough big guys to replace J. J. (Hickson) and Brandon and then Ben [McCauley] next year.”
