Another point guard down
Darrell Armstrong didn't play in Monday's preseason game in Charlotte due to a left foot injury. X-rays on the foot were negative. Armstrong will have his foot examined Tuesday, perhaps an MRI. Mateen Cleaves started in his place.
The three point guards expected to be on the Nets' opening day roster are all suffering from injuries right now. Jason Kidd got treatment on his stiff lower back on Monday. Marcus Williams had surgery on his foot about two weeks ago and will miss at least another 4-6 weeks and now Armstrong.
We'll have updates tomorrow.
