The Sked
The schedule came out today and here are some of the basics:
The Nets open on the road – at Washington on Oct. 29 – before hosting Marcus Williams and Golden State in their Nov. 1 home opener, Phoenix and Detroit. (0-4 anyone?) Just kidding. Then it’s on to Indiana and Miami.
They play seven of their first 12 games at home before the Thanksgiving Week trip West (Lakers, Kings, Jazz, Suns). It’s one of three four-game trips they have. There are no five-game trips this season.
Jason Kidd returns for the first time since his trade on Friday, Dec. 19. (Will you cheer or boo him)? Richard Jefferson makes his first Meadowlands’ appearance as an opponent on Feb. 3. (I'm sure most of you will cheer him).
The World Champion Celtics are here on Jan. 17 and March 4. The West-champ Lakers are here for the only time on March 27.
Here is their complete schedule:
Predictions on the Nets' record anyone?
35-38 wins.
The East is tough this year. Can't see the Nets winning more than 38 games.

"""0-4 anyone?) Just kidding."""
Or are you Al?
Washington game- can go either way but probably an L.
GS game- can go either way.
Pheonix- A big L
Detroit-Not even a contest L
So yeah we're at best gonna start at 1-3.
But than again if we should have learned anything from last season is that good starts dont equal a good season.
Anyway this is probably gonna be a tough year but I will admit that this team has a chance to stun a bunch of people this season in the same way Philly did last season.

Ohhh and 34-41 you heard it here first.

Since we have new players who have to learn each others games, it might be a rough start. We can't play one-on-one, except for VC, who will kick some out for 3s, I hope. We have to play as a team to win any games (watching the Olympics?), and our coach becomes that much more important. So, it could be anywhere from 30-41 wins.

Ohhh and as far as the 2 guys from the "big 3".....
RJ will rock the swamp when he comes back I have no doubt about it, he will receive a standing ovation.
Kidd on the other hand......will be bo'ed to hell and back.

Kidd will receive a standing ovation from 90% of the arena.
You are foolish to think otherwise. The game will sell out from upset Nets fans wanting to see him and cheer him, not people coughing up $40 to boo him.
