Sorry, but no recap of the Nets-Celtics' game. Didn't see and there's only so much you can glean from a box score, especially one that doesn't include Vince Carter.
Naturally, the Nets were going to have a hard time scoring with Carter. We saw that last year and that was with Richard Jefferson and Jason Kidd. Aside from that, the Celtics' 56-29 rebounding edge jumps out and Devin Harris' 0-for-8 performance.
But Yi Jianlian grabbed a preseason high three rebounds, which was three more than last game. And Ryan Anderson, whose ping-pong injury didn't prove serious, sounded as if he played aggressively.
As for tonight, Carter will be back against the Knicks, but the same four guys who were down will stay down: Josh Boone (chest discomfort), Eduardo Najera (wrist), Jarvis Hayes (hamstring) and Stromile Swift (back).
Coach Lawrence Frank said Najera and Hayes will see the doctor tonight. Until then, Frank doesn't know when the two veterans will be able to practice. They're hoping at some point this week. Boone is seeing a doctor for more tests today and there should be an update tonight.

Good show guys. I wanted to leave febceadk on the new segment. I felt like it was a little rushed. Maybe you intend it to be a ‘lightening round’ and I’m just mistaken? I would have liked it much better if the topics would have been discussed a little more in depth. My intention was that the picks of the week would be a lightning round. Maybe I'll get a thunderous jingle to introduce the segment in the future. That way it's clear what it's supposed to be. Maybe it's not a great segment, but I think we should try it at least a few more times before we change it dramatically or scrap it all together. At this point at least, I want to avoid having too much discussion on the picks because I don't want to over crowd the show again. We got negative febceadk when we used to do too many stories, but I'd like to broaden our coverage without losing the 15+ minute discussions of the main' topics.Hopefully next week will go more smoothly.
