Young Guns
LeBron James is here and the Nets are on a mini-winning streak so the most cameras of the season were at the team’s shootaround this morning. And the young guys were the flavors of the day.
While Brook Lopez talked about how there is a wow factor to playing against LeBron, Ryan Anderson, the NBA's top three-point shooter, was talking about how some friends from his past helped him become the shooter he is and how easy Vince Carter and Devin Harris make it for him to get shots.
Then in another area, Harris was talking about his play, the play of the team and what it’s like to play against LeBron. And no, Harris doesn’t have any stock in Mamma.com.
“No,” Harris said. “Not at all. I don’t even know what it is.”
Ask Mark Cuban.
It’s a big night at Izod Center tonight as one winning streak is going to come to an end. Will it be the seven of the Cavs or the modest two of the Nets? Your thoughts are welcomed here.
Clearly, the Nets have to attack like they did against Atlanta with Harris and Carter leading the charge and they can’t get caught up in LeBron-mania. He’s going to get some favorable calls and he’s going to make a defender or four look bad. That’s what he does. They just have to move on to the next play.
As for Lopez, he admitted he’s excited to be on the same court with James.
“A little bit, yeah,” he said.
But Lopez said he’ll try not to get caught up in the wow of LeBron.
“I really don't have time to get flustered,” he said. “I might get dunked on. I'll try to maintain my focus during the game.”

Jarvis Hayes expects to play tonight, although Lawrence Frank called him a game-time decision. Same guys are out – Josh Boone, Eduardo Najera, who was shooting and running before shootaround – Stromile Swift and Chris Douglas-Roberts.
We’ll try to talk to Boone pre-game because we can’t get a read on how long he’ll be out, but listening to Frank it didn’t sound too promising.
“I don’t know how long he’ll be out, but he’s in pain,” Frank said. “He’s having discomfort getting around a little bit. He was in a walking boot yesterday.”
“I really don't have time to get flustered,” he said. “I might get dunked on. I'll try to maintain my focus during the game.”
LMAO. Brook is great
